Often times the driver of a vehicle can be inattentive to the driving task resulting in dangerous driving situations.  This inattentiveness can be cause by a variety of circumstances such as cell phone usage, drowsiness, or distractions caused by other occupants.  It is important to know when the driver is distracted and the type of distraction in order to take proper corrective action.  This research thrust centers on analyzing the driver pose, state, view, intent, and behavior in order to determine when corrective action might need to be taken and what the correct course of action might be.
